About This Spot

Nestled just a stone’s throw from the Sausalito waterfront, Franko & Coffee offers a quietly inviting refuge where the hum of daily life slows into something comfortably familiar. As you step inside, the air carries the warm scent of freshly baked pastries and carefully brewed coffee—a gentle welcome that sets the tone for your visit. The space itself balances a modest charm with an understated buzz, where friendly exchanges ripple between baristas and visitors, making it easy to feel part of the rhythm here.

This is a spot where moments stretch pleasantly—whether you’re nestled indoors with a book or catching the sea breeze at an outdoor table, you sense the effortless blend of a local meeting place and a thoughtful retreat. The pace is unhurried, with soft conversations mixing into the background and the occasional clink of ceramic mugs. There’s a simplicity in how people gather here, drawn by the genuine warmth of the staff and the inviting presence of carefully crafted flavors.

Franko & Coffee’s approach to food and drink feels just as thoughtfully rooted in place. Their offerings align with the gentle mood—handmade to complement the quiet joy of a morning or afternoon pause. The nuances of their drinks invite discovery, whether it’s a warming sip of a subtly spiced ceremonial cacao or the layered notes of a bourbon-infused latte. Small details like house-made spreads on sourdough toast or a tender flaky croissant enrich each visit in a way that feels personal rather than performative.

The vibe is further shaped by those easy, human interactions that visitors remember—the welcoming barista who knows your name, the familiar nod exchanged over a shared love of a particularly good almond croissant, the sense that this is a corner of Sausalito crafted with genuine care. For many, it becomes a natural pause before a ferry ride or an impromptu spot to linger a little longer than planned, savoring a slice of calm within the town’s colorful flow.

A short stop at this beautiful town. And my daughter wanted to try this coffee shop for her latte. She got lavender latte and she really enjoyed the taste. The cafe has some pastry options too but we didn’t try because we were to have some lunch. The barista girl was nice and welcoming. Definitely a go place for coffee and chit chat.

It’s good but nothing special. I had an avo toast which was good but could use a bit more seasoning and less oil. A little sprinkle of honey would be a nice addition for it as well. And it’s very confusing that if you sit outside you get a table number but you still have to get your own coffee from inside

Such a charming and cozy coffee shop! The staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming. The avocado toast was delicious, and the goat cheese with strawberry toast was just as wonderful. We both tried the bourbon lattes, and they were fantastic. They also offer dairy-free options, which is a big plus. Definitely a spot I’d love to return to!

Just had probably the best Apple Danish of my life — insanely good. Perfect balance of sweetness and real apple flavor. I also tried a poppy seed rugelach for the first time, and honestly, the sweetness was spot-on and super satisfying. The cortado was great too — smooth, nice foam, perfect portion. Overall, amazing spot. Highly recommend grabbing a coffee and a pastry here.

Love the vibes of this charming coffee stop with great energy and consistently excellent drinks. The flat white is delicious—smooth, rich, and perfectly made. They’re especially known for their croissants, which are always fresh and irresistible. It’s my go-to spot before catching the ferry, conveniently located just across the street. A perfect blend of great coffee, baked goods, and atmosphere.

new bakery in Sausalito! Worth a stop if you’re in the area. The croissants are solid and they have some interesting flavors for their cakes (for example: sour cherries). We enjoyed one of their pop-ups as well (serniki)

Franko & Coffee truly represents our Ukrainian culture — from the warm atmosphere to the delicious, homemade-style food. I absolutely love this place; it’s so inspiring every time I visit! The coffee is exceptional — truly the best, which is rare to find in many American cafés. Their breakfasts are amazing too — with traditional dishes like nalysnyky (crepes) and syrnyky (cheese pancakes) that bring such comfort and nostalgia. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and make you feel like home. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again

Cute coffee shop with Slavic vibes in decor. My friends took me there, we went there as a group of 6(!) on a weekend 3:30pm and of course it was popular place, no tables available, line of people, We had no spot to seat so we left unfortunately. I am happy to see that business is striving. I hope I’ll be back on a less busy day.
